Program Description

Event Details

Join us for a conversation with Chef Ronald Voughs, moderated by Haddonfield Public Library Director, Eric Zino, and presented in collaboration with the Preserving Black Haddonfield History Project.

Mr. Voughs lived in Haddonfield during his formative years, before moving to Batesville (the African-American section of Cherry Hill just across the town line). His father worked his entire life for the Haddonfield Department of Public Works and ran a restaurant in Lawnside. He observed that white collar people lived differently than his family. He aspired to be like them and succeeded in doing so.
