Program Description

Event Details

In 1949 Marvel T. Dansbury, and two other Black women, drove from New Jersey to Los. Angeles, California.  Mrs Dansbury was a delegate for the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP). Using the Negro Motorist Green Book, together, we will plan their stops for gas, food, lodging, and more. First, we will learn basic family history techniques to uncover Mrs Dansbury's life with Shamele Jordon of Genealogy Quick Start.
