Music plays such a critical part of every film, whether it's background or as a part of the storyline. But in this case, the songs that were selected by the American Film Institute as the best songs from the movies are the ones that most of us remember even after the movie is over.  These songs became a part of our culture and continue to be recorded as standards by many recording artists.
